Birthdays!

I was very surprised to learn that while we are in PNG,
three of the students here will be celebrating their
birthdays. That in itself might not seem very out of the
ordinary, but as it turns out, they will all be turning
21. I find this very encouraging. How many people do you
know would want to spend their 21st birthday away from all
of their family and friends, in a totally new country, and
on a mission trip no less! I don't think I was that
mature at that age - in fact I know I wasn't. It has been
fun celebrating it with them, and I am so glad to think
that they have so much of their lives ahead of them and
they are willing to give everything they had wanted to do
with it and give it up to do God's will. Praise the Lord!
